Helvetica Hangul is a buffer font that enables to type Hangul with the components of Roman font Helvetica. In Hangul, at least two, Initial and medial consonants,and sometimes even three, plus final consonant, have to be combined in order to make one Hangul character. Because of this, in an environment where Korean encoding is not supported, each letter is not completed but instead shown like this: ‘dlfjstlrdmfh xkdlvldehlrp ehlqslek’. If you were to type ‘한글’, even if you press your keyboard buttons for ㅎ, ㅏ, ㄴ, ㄱ, ㅡ, ㄹ in the correct order it will only appear as ‘gksrmf’ - and it won’t show your intended Hangul letters even if you change the font afterwards.
