Jean, Skeleton was conceived between 2011 and 2012, a little before Radim Pesko and Karl Nawrot launched the Lyno typeface. Nawrot wanted to create an object that would tell the story of the design of Lyno Jean (a style he started to design by cutting out blobby shapes from cardboard packaging). Nawrot chose to work from the letter ‘A’ and in terms of its construction principle was inspired by dinosaur skeleton puzzles (the ones you buy after your visit to the natural history museum).
